Centralina Workforce Development Board Developing Performance Benchmarks Total quality and continuous improvement are key elements of all workforce development efforts. To meet this objective, the Centralina Workforce Development Board (WDB) is developing a set of performance benchmarks to measure successes and identify areas for improvement in the JobLink Career Center system. The benchmarks and evaluation system will be based on the following elements:
The Accountability and Chartering Review committees are continuing their work (with input from local JobLink managers) on refining the system, measures, timeline, and results expected from the performance benchmarks. Additionally, the committees have developed a matrix to factor in "weights" for each JobLink Career Center. These weights or local variables include items such as county unemployment rate, area population, ratio of staffing hours at the center, and labor force availability numbers. A final version of the JobLink performance benchmark system and approved changes to the JobLink rechartering system will be presented at the August meeting of the Centralina WDB. Excellent Performance Already a Hallmark of Centralina JobLink System
