Centralina WDB Workshop a Hit at National Conference
The NAWB conference is held annually in Washington, DC and attracts workforce board members and staff, elected officials, and other workforce professionals from around the country. This year's conference had over 1700 attendees. The Centralina WDB PowerPoint presentation - "Start the Commotion to Improve Your Board" is accessible via the Board's website. News You Can Use The next Centralina WDB meeting will be held on Tuesday April 9, 2002 at 4:30 PM at the Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce in Kannapolis. The Centralina WDB, in partnership with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg WDB, the Pee Dee WDB, and the US Department of Labor, are preparing a National Emergency Grant application in order to obtain additional funding to serve dislocated workers in the region. Additional information and details will be announced later. |
